澳洲旅行者合唱團團長 Judith 女士來信

應協會邀請，明年六月Wayfarers合唱團將來宜蘭五天舉辦工作坊與公開演出，秘書長 脩平問 Judith女士一個問題：來宜蘭的目的與期待？以下是團長 Judith女士的回答。
I believe that creating beauty in a group which works well together is one of the most healing and energy-sharing and love-radiating activities humans can experience, both as givers and receivers. It gives me joy to do this, and I feel blessed when I can make music with others who feel the same joy. An added bonus is that some of our content speaks of our culture, our country and our aspirations, and this can bring new understandings to others. And we hope that we will cross-fertilize - that we will meet people who share with us their own seekings through their own creating of beautiful sound, and their own content, which will give us new understandings.
Here are some recent photos of my musical life - when I get better ones I'll send them to you. The first one is the Wayfarers logo, which I painted. ?It shows the range of our repertoire. Then there are some photos of children in a music theatre workshop, a music literacy and recorder lesson, teaching music to adults with disabilities, and playing folk music with other Wayfarers for people to dance to.

我相信工作默契良好的人聚在一起共同創造美麗的事物，對給予者和對接收者而言，都是我們能經驗到最有療癒性，最能共享彼此能量並散發愛的的人類活動。 這樣的活動令我愉悅， 若那些和我一起創造音樂的人也能感受到同等的愉悅，我覺得那是天賜神恩，附帶的好處是，我們的創作和演出可以讓其他人了解我們的文化， 國家，和我們這群人的追尋及嚮往。在旅程中， 我們希望遇見的人們也與我們分享他們各自的追尋，透過他們創作的美麗聲音和內容，這會讓我們對世界產生新的理解，而且這是相互增益的過程。
這裡有一些關於我音樂人生的照片， 我會再寄給妳更好的其他一些照片。第一張是我畫的旅行者合唱團的團徽，上面顯示出我們的常演曲目。其他的照片有些是孩童在音樂劇工作坊，識譜課和直笛課裡的情形，還有成年人身障者的音樂課，以及團員們演奏民謠伴舞等。

我們是由20位澳洲的表演者組成的團體， 團員年齡從18到70歲不等，其中還有一位12歲女孩的成員。我們都是歌手，其中許多人也會演奏樂器， 或是演員，舞者，視覺藝術家等。大多數的團員是澳洲各地華德福學校的畢業生， 家長，現任或前任的華德福學校老師，2011年六月到十月，我們計劃旅行中國，俄羅斯， 北歐， 西歐， 英國，愛爾蘭與印尼，進行演出與工作坊，以及共同藝術創作等活動。
